In a traditional production, capturing five angles of the same moment could require multiple cameras or several separate takes. If a missing angle is discovered after the shoot, obtaining it may mean bringing back the location, talent, crew, equipment, and other production resources.
Video-to-video AI introduces another possible solution. When the source footage and creative requirements are suitable, an additional shot may be generated without organizing a full reshoot.

After testing different camera angles, Greg used the same footage to add a realistic-looking dog walking beside the subject. The goal was to preserve the central movement and general composition of the shot while introducing an element that had not been present during filming.
Traditionally, adding something new to a completed scene could require another shoot, stock footage, animation, or a visual-effects process involving compositing and manual cleanup. Video-to-video AI can make certain additions faster and more accessible, particularly when the new element does not need to meet strict product, brand, or continuity requirements.
However, this is not always a one-click process. Professional results may require careful prompting, multiple generations, selection of the strongest output, compositing, editing, and additional visual cleanup.

The most substantial transformation in Greg’s test involved changing the lighting and placing the subject in an entirely new environment.
The original performance and movement served as the foundation, while the AI generated a different setting and lighting treatment around the subject.
This creates possibilities beyond filling a simple coverage gap. A business could potentially use the same performance to explore multiple visual directions, test different environments, or develop campaign variations without physically producing every version from the beginning.

The result still has to be evaluated carefully. Changes to lighting, perspective, reflections, shadows, clothing, faces, hands, products, or background details can introduce inconsistencies. The more precise the brand or product requirements are, the more review and refinement the generated footage may need.
